The HOA Threatened an Elderly Man Over His Yard, Until His Neighbor Read the Rule They Ignored

Chapter 1: The Mower Stopped Halfway Down George’s Yard

“You don’t have the right to do that.”

Jeffrey Allen heard the voice over the mower before he saw who was speaking.

He released the handle. The engine coughed down to silence halfway through a strip of knee-high grass, leaving a sharp green line between what he had cut and what he had not.

Sandra Ramirez stood on the sidewalk with one hand against her hip and the other holding a thin HOA folder.

Jeffrey pulled off one work glove.

“Do what?”

“Work on someone else’s property.”

He looked from her to George Carter’s front porch.
