My Neighbor Poured Concrete Over My Property Line, Then Told Me to Prove It

Chapter 1: The New Concrete Crossed a Line Nobody Could Ignore

The first thing Daniel Carter noticed was that the grass strip beside his driveway was gone.

He stopped halfway out of his side door, coffee still in one hand, and stared at a wide band of wet gray concrete where a narrow edge of lawn had been the night before.

A contractor stood bent over the fresh slab, drawing a long finishing tool toward himself. Beyond him, a concrete mixer idled near Frank Nelson’s driveway.

Daniel set the coffee on the porch rail.

“Hold on.”

The contractor looked up.

Daniel stepped off the porch and crossed the lawn, keeping his shoes away from the fresh pour. Frank stood on the other side of the slab in a faded work shirt, one hand resting near his hip as if he had been supervising all morning.

Daniel pointed at the new edge.
