They Tore Down His Family Greenhouse, Then Learned Their Entire Development Needed Water From His Farm

Chapter 1: The Morning They Broke Forty-Two Greenhouse Panels

The excavator bucket came through the east wall before Jason Martin understood anyone had started the machine.

Glass burst inward above the potting bench. Jason threw both arms over his head and dropped behind a stack of seed trays as shards struck the concrete and skipped beneath the tables.

“Stop!”

The engine drowned him out.

He scrambled toward the center aisle. Beyond the broken wall, the excavator operator jerked backward at the sight of him. The bucket stopped with one steel tooth hooked through an aluminum greenhouse rib.

Jason ran for the opening.

“Shut it down!”

The machine finally went quiet.
