My Neighbor Kept Taking Deliveries From My Farm Gate—Then the Camera Changed What Everyone Believed

Chapter 1: The Box Anthony Said Was His

Anthony Hall was already halfway across the gravel lane with William Miller’s veterinary-supply box under his arm when William stepped out from behind the hay wagon.

For a second neither man spoke.

The box was white, long enough to reach from Anthony’s elbow to his hip, and sealed with two bands of clear tape. William could see his own name printed on the shipping label from twenty feet away.

Anthony stopped.

“Oh,” he said, as if William had caught him carrying a stray feed sack blown into the road. “This yours?”

William looked past him toward the delivery shelter beside the gate. The shelter was nothing elaborate: three cedar posts, a sheet-metal roof, and a raised plywood platform his father had built years ago so parcels did not sit in mud. William’s farm number was painted on a board attached to the front.

Anthony’s place sat another quarter mile up the shared lane.

“You got it out of my shelter,” William said.
