When They Crushed Her Greenhouse, the County Plat Proved the Farm Boundary Was Never Theirs

Chapter 1: The Bucket Crossed the Line Before Anyone Checked

The excavator bucket came through the greenhouse wall before Catherine Harris could reach the door.

Glass burst inward in a hard glittering sheet. One cedar bench twisted sideways, pots hit the floor, and a spray of damp bark and orchid roots scattered across the concrete.

Catherine stopped three feet from the threshold.

For half a second, she heard nothing but the machine.

Then Scott Clark raised one gloved hand toward the operator.

“Keep it there.”

The bucket hung inside the greenhouse.

Catherine looked at the torn frame, then at Scott.
