The HOA President Called Her Dramatic Over a Blocked Driveway—Then His Own Parking Rule Turned Against Him

Chapter 1: The Blue Truck Between the White Lines

Rachel Miller saw the blue pickup before she saw her garage.

It sat sideways across the lower half of her driveway, its rear tires just inside one white line and its front bumper hanging across the other, leaving no space for her sedan to turn in without clipping either the truck or the curb.

Rachel stopped in the street.

For a few seconds she assumed the driver was still inside. She waited behind the wheel, turn signal ticking, watching the pickup’s dark windows.

No movement.

She checked the time on the dashboard. 12:18.

She had come home from the medical office because she had forgotten a folder she needed for an afternoon meeting. She should have been inside for five minutes and back on the road.

Instead, she lowered the window and looked toward the house next door.
